We’re excited to announce our new feature, our integration with user directories powered by Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). It’s ready to go and easy to set up. As an organization that onboards many employees that need access to several computer applications, our integration with user directories powered by LDAP makes it easy to integrate Revver into your ecosystem.
What is LDAP? It’s a protocol used by most major user directory services, including Microsoft’s Active Directory, for setting up users in multiple systems. Many businesses use several different software and services across departments and need an efficient way to onboard their employees to those multiple systems at the same time. When an employee is hired or leaves the company, the process of setting up or removing user accounts in their required programs can be very time consuming if it’s done manually, one system at a time.
That’s where directory services come in. We’ve created an integration that works with any LDAP powered user directory, so now you can set up users in Revver along with other systems they need to get their job done.

But user directories aren’t just a time saving tool for setting up new users. Anytime an employee leaves an organization, it’s important to quickly and accurately revoke access once employment ends. If that doesn’t happen, it can become a significant security risk. Having Revver integrated into your user directory will help ensure that only authorized and current employees have access to your critical systems.
As suggested by the name, our directory will work with any directory service that is powered by LDAP, including Active Directory, Apache, Red Hat, and many others. Our goal is that the integration can be widely used, regardless of the specific directory that your organization uses.
The integration is simple to use, easy to set up, and is included with Revver at no extra charge to you.
